How to fix stuck GUI focus in FL Studio?

I own both DIVA and HIVE 2, and both behave the same in FL studio: if I play on my typing keyboard while adjusting sounds, I have to release my mouse left click (when adjusting filter for example) to play a new note. In other synths I can play notes while adjusting any parameter. Anybody know how to fix this? I tried enabling the wrapper feature in FL called "keep GUI focus", that actually worked, but FL advises against it, and it causes FL to crash within 30 minutes while using HIVE2.

On a positive note I love both synths, and was very happy to buy HIVE2 today! :)

UPDATE: The issue isn't the keep GUI focus after all. Unfortunately HIVE2 crashes after changing presets (it crashes after 2 mins if I keep changing presets).
I read in a different post that using version 2.1.0 could fix this, but it's no longer available in the archives. Is there any place to download this version still?

UPDATE 2: I downloaded version 2.0.8676 (windows): I have been speedclicking through presets and have NOT been able to crash FL studio. Great news.
Also, the "keep GUI focus" seems to work perfectly now.

Best regards

Instead of using the wrapper option, you could also try to simply switch off the keyboard focus option. You can find a little keyboard icon directly above the plugin GUI, in the top right section, next to FL Studio's preset field. By default, it's active and sends all keyboard input to the plugin. Switch it off, and you should be able to play while adjusting or browsing presets.

Hive 2.1 is still available in the release archive, it's revision 11037.

But instead of installing an older version, you could try installing this very recent beta (posted a few days ago) which also fixes the problems with the random freezes in FL Studio:

Hi, and thanks a lot for the help! I have tried using the keyboard icon to keep GUI focus, but it still doesn't take input while adjusting parameters (it's the same for both HIVE2 and Diva). The only thing that worked was to turn on "Keep GUI focus" in the wrapper settings. (update: this works perfectly in the new beta)

I am eager to test this new beta because after a while I had the same crash happen with the older 2.0 version. I can't say for sure if it's the same crash or if it's caused by turning on "Keep GUI focus", but Diva hasn't crashed because of it, and Diva has never crashed.

Downloading the beta and testing - hoping to start using HIVE2 fully, because it sounds amazing and is super fun to play around with.

EDIT and UPDATE for Beta: Now the keyboard icon on wrapper (to keep GUI focus) works perfectly. Awesome!
