I've just bought MCompare, and the generate source options are greyed out and can't be clicked on, like this:

The tutorial video shows this working right away, without changing any settings, so I don't think I'm missing anything.
I am using version 16.10 in FL studio.

Let's wait for someone else, i never saw it greyed out.

In the mean time i just made a quick flp with 2 instances of mcompare where the first one is settled as source.

Try to download it and check if it works and if you can enable/disable the source

I'm getting the exact same thing, just purchased it. ... All "Generate Source" options are greyed out using FL Studio 21. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. The weird thing is that Frankie.T's project DOES work for me in the sense that it is generating output on Source 1 and I'm able to audition it in the second MCompare instance. However, all the "generate source" options are still greyed out, so I'm not able to change the source to 2 or 3.

Post

Still don't know why everything is greyed out, but I found that if I saved Frankie.T's instance of MCompare as a preset in the MCompare preset GUI, I'm able to use it in my other projects as the generating source. So at least its a work-around. Thanks Frankie.T! I may submit a bug/ case with Melda Productions to try and figure it out.

Hello,

it was found out, that greyed out MCompare source options is a bug caused by internal changes. We have fixed it and release the fix soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

For me it used to work fine until about one week ago.

Same here in Reaper 7, I'm excited that there's a fix in the works, hope it's out soon.

Same problem in Cubase Pro 12. I bought MCompare yesterday for comparing the pre and post audio of my master chain. And exactly this feature fails. So bad :-(. Hope it gets fixed soon.

It works perfectly on version 16.04, you may want to install that version in the meaning

Just adding my voice to this for a speedy fix please. I have other projects that are reliant on features released in the latest versions, so downgrading isn't really a viable option for me, thanks.

Melda support informed me that the "Generate Source" issue is fixed in the upcoming version 16.11. There is already a beta you can download. Perhaps this will work for you?
