Long story short, increasing the attack makes the first hit always louder than the others, and this mess with compressors, limiter and clippers.
If you take a kick i.e. and increase the attack, then hit play, you see the first hit to have always an higher peak. Stop and play it again, same story.
I tried to use an expander instead, but while may works even better for certain situations, there are some that what i need it's a transient shaper, but it's just useless if works that way.
I hope you guys can fix that behaviour, if you need to add some latency is not a problem, it's a mixing tool, but please do something.
Thank you

Try to disable AGC - Automatic Gain Compensation. This also caught me on another Melda plugin.
It is not able to trigger on the first beat, but it works on the others. With AGC disabled all hits should be the same loudness.
I hope that helps.

Thanks mabian for your suggestion, AGC is disabled so that wasn't the issue.
I see i.e. right now if i play a kick at 4/4 the transients looks kinda homogeneous, but if i play the kick ever 1/8 things start to get more complicated, expecially for the first hit.
I think it's something about the algorithm and the way he "decide" what to do.
I made a short video just to show the issue, ofc if you go higher with the attack the behavior is even more noticiable
I don't know if adding some latency may help, i mean just let the first hit to be like the others please

Something to keep in mind is reaper has weird buffering issues. This is noticeable with XLN's XO with its MIDI sequencing and it might relate to audio as well.

I also tried exteme, but it's still there, i made another quick video showing you also my setting page.jmg8 wrote: Mon Dec 04, 2023 9:32 am In settings, set smart interpolation to high or very high. Does that improve things?
If that matters i also tried with OS enabled but it's the same with and without OS
EDIT: It looks like turning the resolution down to 0 it makes the plugin to behave correctly!
