Hello,

Basically, I have two signals, one is the desired audio, and the other is the known noise.

So, I'm looking for a way to subtract in real-time the second signal from the first signal.

Thanks for the input.

PS: I tested with Melda Spectral Dynamics, no success.

The free ReaFir will do this, although it will introduce some latency;

Thanks for the input.

Unfortunately, ReaFir uses a static frequency spectrum to calculate noise.

Best I've used is Acon Digital DeNoise 2.
It's part of the Restoration Suite for $99, or included along with all Acon plugins in Acoustica 7 Premium for $199.

There's a 30-day trial.

It blows Waves X-Noise and ReaFir away.
Better NR, fewer artefacts, and it is fast enough to play through in real-time.

Hey thanks,

It still doesn't allow the real noise input signal.

You would make a noiseprint of the noise first, then apply it to your target audio.

It's not really clear what you're trying to do.
You have some kind of evolving discrete noise event you want to remove in real-time as it is happening?

Maybe try feeding a phase inversed copy of the noise signal into the audio you want to remove it from?

Yes, I think this sentence clears things up.

And out of phase signals are impossible because the timing of the signals isn't exact.

Maybe try adaptive noise profiling in Acon Digital DeNoise 2 or Waves Z-Noise?

It sounds like you want to side-chain a separate noise source into a noise reduction plugin, which would evolve the noise print that is being applied to your target audio? I don't know of anything that does that, but it is an interesting idea.

I use Brusfri for that kind of things. Works great for me.

Two thing:

1) If you are able to isolate the noise on a separate input in real-time, then yes, reversing the signal will work.

2) If what you have is a recording of the noise and you're hoping to feed that into the noise reduction at the same time as the signal you're trying to clean up, then RX Spectral De-noise will do it. It has a real-time algorithm.

Excellent tool. Way better result than Waves Clarity.

Yes!
