MSuperLooper Midi Control Bug?

Hi,
I recently bought and am using the MSuperLooper with Live Suite 11.
I have a basic midi foot pedal controller - Harley Benton MP100: https://harleybenton.com/product/mp-100 ... ontroller/
I'm trying to use the "Trigger" setting in assigning midi control - as my controller only sends maximum value of 127 when the switch is pressed (no zero value is transmitted when switch is released). The MsuperLooper manual says this is what the trigger mode is for:
"Trigger mode makes the controller automatically produce maximum and the minimum right after it. It can be handy with some buggy MIDI controllers providing buttons, which however do not send value 0, and only repeat value 127. Trigger makes it behave like the minimum was actually sent by the MIDI controller a little bit after the original message."
This control works as intended - ONCE. The control then will not have any further effect on the parameter assigned to it. Eg - if I assign a switch to control the "Next" track function - upon first pressing, it will indeed activate the "Next" function, turning it on and off again quickly. However, then it will stop responding.
My hunch is that although the plugin is simulating a zero input shortly after the maximum input, it then doesn't reset its 'midi buffer??' - i.e. its as if it is still behaving as if the last message it received was maximum 127 - and it therefore doesn't react to further maximum 127 messages (repeated switch presses).
Whatever the reason, this bug?? is completely repeatable on my setup.
Please help or put me straight if I'm misunderstanding/ missing something.
Thanks,
Stafford.

You might do better with using "Notes" to control Msuperlooper.

Thanks, I'm sure you're right - unfortunately my controller doesn't send out midi notes either!Dirk Diggler wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:46 pm You might do better with using "Notes" to control Msuperlooper.

Plenty to tools to convert. I just checked the specs on the controller:
Sends Program Change & Control Change Midi commands via the USB port as well as via the MIDI output. So you can convert PC or CC to midi note. I had no success trying PC, I got the same inconsistent behavior, as soon as I switched to notes, all is good.
Good luck.

Thanks - I downloaded some M4L converter plugins: https://abletonkurse.gumroad.com/l/conv ... leton-live and converted the CC and PC messages from my controller to notes and all working good. I still think there is a bug thoughDirk Diggler wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:49 pm Plenty to tools to convert. I just checked the specs on the controller:

Excellent, glad you got a workable solution.
