mSpectralDynamics: Unlink stereo channels?

I asked this same question regarding mWaveshaper, and if I understand the answer correctly, it is always essentially processing in dual mono (unlinked) for L+R mode.
Looking now at mSpectralDynamics, and getting confused. My interpretation of manual is that L+R is (linked) stereo mode. It mentions being able to run L and R channels separately with different settings by combining two instances with opposing L and R only modes, but that's not what I want to do.
I just want to have one instance with one setting so I don't have to keep copy/pasting between instances every time I make a change, but just unlink the stereo processing so each side is being processed independently... both for convenience, and because it's very taxing on my system running multiple instances.
Am I misunderstanding this? Is L+R mode processing the two sides independently? It doesn't sound like it to me, but not seeing an option to unlink.

One pain in the butt workaround is to put two instances in mxxx and create multi parameters for each control you want to tweak.
It's not ideal though as it means you need to use the MPs rather than the direct controls. I agree, a channel link variable control like in MDynamics would be ideal.

I'm afraid that would be quite difficult to implement... I'll check, but I briefly remember I checked some time ago and discarded it... I must have had a reason

Ha, he did it again.
Latest beta version contains channel unlink. Haven't tested it yet, it just dropped. Thought folks in here would like to know. Is available on the website in the usual download location.

Hehe yeah, originally I wanted variable link, but that was just impossible... this one was already very difficult...
