Tips for a default MGuitarArchitect preset

Hey everybody,
I got MGA via the CreativeFX bundle and although I own a few other amp sims I'm quite I'm intrigued by the multiparameters and the NAM loader. All the endless possibilities overwhelm me though...
I'm thinking about making a default preset with a device chain similar to the lower gain NeuralDSP plugins like Toneking, Morgan. I then want to control the multiparameters with my Ableton Push. So something like this:
compressor, overdrive, chorus -> then NAML -> EQ7 -> delay -> reverb. I think I'll keep the amp and cab in mono.
Any tips for a good starting point among all the available devices? Would be highly appreciated. I'll try to find a nice edge of breakup NAM file.
The bundle gives me TurboDelay and TurboReverb so I'd probably use these "studio" devices, but still there are so many presets inside these alone... I guess TurboComp and TurboEQ don't add a lot of value for keeping this simple? Also would automatic gain correction be useful?

Since you plan on using a NAM amp profile, and those can be CPU intensive, a lightweight Melda OD pedal is a sensible pairing. You mention edge of breakup and pushing a cleanish amp into edge of breakup is the intended use of the Clarity Drive pedal, so I'd recommend giving it a try. (The pedal is accessed from the Amp module block in version 16.11. There is a "hidden" multiparameter in the edit screen called Saturation where you can change the number of gain stages if needed.)

Here is a list of Amp module devices, with descriptions. Maybe one of the pedals will work for you.

Thanks so much for all the info! That multiparameter sounds immensely helpful for me since I want to control MGA from my hardware and therefore love single parameters that change the character of a device.sparella wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 7:22 pm There is a "hidden" multiparameter in the edit screen called Saturation where you can change the number of gain stages if needed.)
By the way I wanted to replicate that concept with a multiparameter for different nam files of the same amp with different gain settings. Is there a way to use multiparameters to toggle through the A-H presets? I could only find the way to scroll through „files“ which kinda works but depends a lot on the naming of the files I guess.

Idk if you can use a MP to select A-H presets but you can click and drag to reorder saved presets which can help scrolling through.TVbene wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:31 amThanks so much for all the info! I‘m still trying with a multiparameter for NAM‘s „file“ and to me to me this seems like a bug:
I can map this multiparameter for Ableton Live 11 (Win 11) but changing the parameter from the DAW only appears to change the nam files in the plugin - another nam file gets highlighted in the plugin GUI but the sound stays the same. Clicking on the file names instead really changes the profile.
