Plugins opened as separate windows

Hi you all.

everytime I open a new plugin (W12.5Pro) it's opened on a separate OS window resource, at least on Windows 11. I've searching carefully on the configuration pages if it's possible to have every plugin opened "internally" within Waveform but I can't find it.

It's relatively annoying since plugins open "on top" of the sequencer software, and so hidding regular Waveform dialogs, or even opening the botton Windows bar (if I work with the full screen option).

Anyone knows if it's possible to configure it to have the plugins windows to open "inside" the main sequencer window ??

Thanks !

That might be related to plugin sandboxing, which keeps each plugin in its own process to avoid crashing the whole program when a plugin crashes. You can turn sandboxing off entirely or individually for each plugin. I keep sandboxing on but only have it on for plugins that I know cause problems.

Setting -> Plugins

Each plugin has a checkmark. System-wide on/off is at the bottom right.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Hi pough and thanks. Sorry for may late reply. When I've had time I've been messign around with this sandbox adjustment amb maybe I've found an improvement. Plugins are not open "on-top" but just behind the regular Waveform dialog boxes. Also that way they have a mute button. And every plugin has it own "window instance" in the task bar, they are not "contained" on the "whole Waveform" instance. I 'm not sure if that way is an advantage...

But it does not work on all ocassions. If I click the "full screen" icon (something I like to use) then plugins not open at all, or if I try on several projects, maybe some plugins open but everytime the whole screen flicks (¿!¡?). All in all it does not look extremely robust but it works. Thanks again.
