I have tried everything to scan this plug! Moved the folder out of the VST folder into its own folder; moved it back; un-quarantined every item in the folder; turned the MAC gatekeeper off via Terminal - I'm at a loss. This is happening in LiveProfessor 2 if that makes any difference. Suggestions?

Can't find the 'App' sub-folder.
Are you sure you have installed the full package?

MacOS: Make sure the app file is not in quarantine. Eventually use 'Quarantine Remover' to free the app file.

Are there any special characters in the complete file path to the MuLab plugin folder?

Post

Shouldn't be - It's the same path as all the other VST's - it's just in its standard place in the user library in the VST folder.

MonoFury.vst
mps.ini
MPS.vst
MScontrol.vst
MSW1.vst
MT-A.vst
MT-PowerDrumKit.vst
MuLab 9.4 Plugin
App
Audio
Graphics
Library
MuLab Plugin Effect.vst
MuLab Plugin Synth.vst
Quarantine Remover Read Me.rtf
Quarantine Remover.app

I did copy/paste it from an external folder into there - should I have just dragged the original item into the VST folder?

Post

Sorry for the cut & paste not showing the indentation properly

Post

You need to copy the entire MuLab Plugin folder in there so that MuLab Plugin.vst is in the same folder as its App and User folders that are also in the complete zip package.
Only copying the 2 .vst files will result in the error you see because MuLab can't find its resource files.

Post

Oh yes, that is already the case - the whole folder is there - maybe because I renamed it from Mulab 9 Plugin to Mulab 9.4 Plugin?

Post

Did you add that point between 9 and 4 in the name?
That might cause problems.
The point is a special character used for file extensions.
Simply keep the name as the original.
Keeping the name as the original will also make it more easy to update MuLab Plugin to new versions.

Post

Nope, same result :(. Named Mulab Plugin . Also tried Mulab9 Plugin and Mulab 9 Plugin.

Post

* remove everything from MuLab from the plugins folder
* redownload MuLab Plugin for Mac
* extract the zip to a new folder
* remove the quarantaine
* now move the MuLab Plugin folder to the Mac vst plugins folder with changing anything

Et Voila! YES it scanned - and even, in turn, it scanned all of my VST3's as advertised! THANK you! If you are ever in my part of the world I will happily save your wagon train from wild Indians! A million thank-you's - the speed and accuracy of your response was wonderful :).
