1. Is there a keystroke shortcut to enable the computer keyboard to play Midi notes exclusively (so shortcuts for all other actions are disabled)? It would be best this way so one doesn't need to mouse click the module to have the VMK active.
2. I have the Piano Module connected to composer modules setup for Note Actions. IE note C0 plays the timeline and D0 stops the timeline of the composers.
With VMK focused, it does not perform the Note Actions.
I have to mouse click the Piano Module C0 and D0 keys for the Note Actions to work.
Is there a way for the VMK to trigger Note Actions??
Virtual Midi Keyboard Qs

Yes, We need a keyboard shortcut for "Virtual MIDI Keyboard".
I'd be happy if I could switch between octaves, for example, Z = Oct Down, X = Oct Up etc... It would be nice if the velocity could be changed as well.
When I set the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" to minimize, only the "Options" gear icon appears in the bottom bar and I will need to select from the menu to recall "Virtual MIDI Keyboard".
Also I'd be happy if there was an option that allowed me to play on my PC keyboard whenever MuLab is active, even if "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" is not invoked. (I think it's impossible because if VST is at the forefront, it will have to leave the processing to that VST.)
Once I minimize the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" and then turn off the bottom bar, the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" is always running behind the scenes. Is it okay to think this is the correct feature Jo's imagined?
environment:
MuLab 10.0.64 x64, Win 10/11

It already exists.takecha wrote: Wed Jun 11, 2025 11:47 pm Yes, We need a keyboard shortcut for "Virtual MIDI Keyboard".
See MuLab menu -> Shortcuts -> map a key to "Virtual MIDI Keyboard".
It's already there: Page Up and Page Down for octaves.I'd be happy if I could switch between octaves
Will be fixed in the next update. When I set the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" to minimize, only the "Options" gear icon appears in the bottom bar and I will need to select from the menu to recall "Virtual MIDI Keyboard".
Will be possible by minimizing it. (next update properly handles minimized VMK)Also I'd be happy if there was an option that allowed me to play on my PC keyboard whenever MuLab is active, even if "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" is not invoked. Should be regarded as a bug.Once I minimize the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" and then turn off the bottom bar, the "Virtual MIDI Keyboard" is always running behind the scenes. Is it okay to think this is the correct feature Jo's imagined?
But will be fixed by the fact that in the next update the VMK will be properly visible in the Minimized Windows Bar.

Oh, thanks!! I was overlooked it.
By the way, is there a shortcut that minimize only the front window,
not the MuLab app itself?
