heya,
Is there a way to map midi channels 1-6 to the strings in Guitarist?
-This is the most amazing program,
but I really am finding it fiddly
If I could somehow have a performance more analogous to a normal instrument that would be cool
-but I will program it, if I can map the strings.
I'm using MIDI guitar, and I want to play it more easily,
I understand that is not really it's paradigm
-but if it had the channels, I'm sure I could make it talk with time
Thank you for it- you really are a cool company
-I suppose I can use 6 instances, but that is unwieldy indeed

Hi nix808,
unfortunately, that is not possible since Guitarist can only be played by the sequencer.
Guitarist itself is controlled by the Chord Keys and Pattern Keys, which means Guitarist receives MIDI notes so you can start and stop the different patterns, chords and the action section.
So it's not really possible to play single notes unless you define single notes as chords.
Sorry for not having better news for you!
Best,
Nadine

thanks Nadine,
I can accomplish what I'm after by turning only one string on
per instance and use 6 instances,
triggered by different channels
-I must use this method if I want to perform
Cheers, thanks for your answer
It may be too roundabout way to work,
and to accept this unique instrument's work flow as is
may be best
