Clip Launcher Performance Recording

Hi guys just a quick question about the clip launcher in Waveform 13.

How do you guys set it up to only record midi or audio for as long as a novation key is held down for? In other words, every time I do performance recording every thing I record is the same length in duration (one bar or whatever the clip length I set in the clip launcher is set too).

Is there a way to have the clip launcher just record for the duration a midi key / novation key is pressed down for? I've tried snap to grid and midi clip lengths and global master track quantization and no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
