Melda policy change / online installation only. And this is really bad!

One of the reason i landed on Melda is because you can download and activate everything offline, but now things seems changed with the new V17, from the download page:

"Since version 17.00 we are changing our installation system. All Melda plugins and instruments can only be installed by our new application."

I think this is completly unfair to all the people who invested money into your plugins because of that. I have nothing against having a new system for people who have different needs, but this is a real slap to your previous customers who decided to make an investment in an different ecosystem than other companies already offer.

I think you should reconsider that, continuing to offer an offline installer/activation system.

Newer customers are important, but this doesn't mean older can be trashed.

Do we need to thank ImageLine for that? I'm very disappointed!

Thank god I thrashed their stuff already several months ago.
So many better alternatives out there.
I just regret having wasted so much money on them.

Hello, offline plugin installation (like before) will be surely possible, no worries here. This is new beta. You can already offline install addons for MSF/MDrummer from MPluginManager, you can also offline activate licences as before and the offline plugin installation will be ready in about week or two, I'll keep you updated.

This is very good to hear!
For many of us downloading and activating our plugins without any kind of server connection and C/R is very important.
We love the "old good way" to download our plugins and our licence file, as simple as it always being done with Melda!

What we (several of us for sure) also need is that no Melda plugin, including MPluginManager has forced or unsolicited internet access, so no "ET phone home" calls requirement of any type.

This in order to use them like our musical instruments in the future, whatever the future holds for us, be it on a desert island, at whatever country, offline or economic situation.
That is peace of mind, and so far Melda Production allows it.
