split clip - change for the worse

The split clip function (/) was changed recently to leave both sides of the clip selected after the cut. I'm not sure why this was changed, or what improvements it is supposed to bring, but for me the change is for the worse.
I split a clip usually to move or change one of the parts. So if we could have the later clip selected (as it used to be) at least it would be useful most of the time.

tbh tingle there were a lot of requests to have it changed to the way it works now. The idea was that if you're splitting a whole bunch of tracks to be moved together they all stay selected. I do agree that having the clip selected on both sides of the split is rather overkill/redundant...

yeah. that change really bugged me at first and now that i've gotten used to it still buggs me just as much - it really halts the workflow.
even though it only adds one more click to most operations, when you have to move your hand from keyboard (/) to mouse (to select the later clip) then back again (to delete the selected clip for example), that's a lot more time taken than it used to - especially when this operation gets repeated so often.

This was one of those little inteligent descisions that Tracktion made for you that you only appreciate when it changed.
What makes Tracktion great IMO is that there are maybe hundreds of these little descisions that make workflow so easy.
Jules certainly knows how creative minds work, I hope he reverses this, even though it's small.

On the subject of selected multiple clips, it would be good to be able to drag all the start and end markers of the clips simulateously (for the whole group).
[The little white triangles on clips if you are not sure what I'm talking about]
currently if you have a bunch of clips selected and move a start or end marker, the clip that you move behaves correctly but the others don't.
