Hello there,
Cubase 13 on Win11. I'm trying to open some projects made in my home studio on a new machine.
Same DIVA and CUBASE versions installed on both.
For some reason, the new machine cannot find "Diva(x64)", as it's called in my home studio PC.

In the new machine, the VST is called "Diva" (without "x64"), I guess this is the problem.

Has anyone experienced this issue and can help me find a workaround?
Thanks

Hi Peter,

you're using an older project that used the VST2 version of Diva, loading it on a machine that can only use the newer VST3 version. Perhaps the Diva installation on the new machine isn't the most recent one, because with newer Diva versions this *should* work and Cubase should be able to replace the VST2 with the VST3 now.
Can you try installing the latest Diva beta from here please:

Then load the old project again?
If you're still experiencing problems, please get in touch at support[at]u-he.com .

Hello Viktor,
I followed your instruction, loaded the old projcet and it works!
Cubase gave a warning message ("Unable to find plug-in 'PAD'. It has been automatically replaced in the project by the compatible plug-in 'Diva', version '1.4.8'.") but sounds are correctly recalled.
Thank you so much!

Excellent!
(although I admit the error message confuses me slightly)

Cheers!

Out of curiosity, is the track the Diva instance is on named 'PAD'?

Yes indeed, this might explain the error message...

Hehe, so my guess would be that a Steinberg programmer wanted to write something like track.plugin.name but messed up and wrote track.name. And since when you create a new instrument track with Diva on it, by default it will be called 'Diva' it slipped through the QA, as it only breaks if the user renames the track.
