Superwave P8 factory presets not visible in Waveform Pro

I'm working with Superwave P8 in Waveform Pro, but I don't seem to have access to the factory presets that seem to appear in other DAWs when you load it. In my Waveform screen, it looks like this:
whereas from other users I understand it looks somewhat like this, and you'll notice the preset selection that I've circled:
I'm stumped... Why does this not show in Waveform Pro? Am I missing something?

They're visible, they're just not where you're looking. Many DAWs add a control strip above the plugin GUI (like the one you're showing) but Waveform puts them in either the Actions tab or the Control Panel.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

By the way, the panel at the bottom is minimized by default but it when it's open it is the most useful thing you will ever find. They hide it away be default because they enjoy making me mention it over and over and over and over again. I assume.

That's got to be it. And everyone now calls it "useful mode," which I believe you coined about 40 years ago!pough wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 12:05 am They hide it away be default because they enjoy making me mention it over and over and over and over again. I assume.

Officially its is called inside the Wavefom app "Controls Panel". Trying o be precise in the communication about the various panels and locations in the app I got used to click on the left upper corner "eye" icon, above in the screenshot seen colored in ligth blue, and then hover the mouse over the element I am searching the name for. To the left of the other icons placed left side of the "eye" icon there then appears the always very helpful short information about the function of the item the mouse is curently placed over. There it tells that the "useful panel" is by Waveform refered to as the "Controls Panel".

Weird! It's still called the Properties Panel in my head. I wonder when that changed.

I still think of it as Properties panel too lol, but now it's Control panel and I've linked it to 'C' on the keyboard to show or hide, but to be honest I leave it open most of the time.

I'll guess it changed sometime after v11, when the last manual was put together.

Thanks all, pough in particular! Man, they hid that away pretty good indeed. Funny as I've seen several other VSTs which do show the presets on top of the window (or something very similar). Anyway, I've found it, thanks. Sorry for the newby question, it sounds like I'm not the first person you've helped figuring this out!
