Hey all, recently I've begun playing with user samples for FM, but the manuals for F'em and Biotek don't really say much of anything in how to use them.
When importing a single sample into F-em, for example, it seems to naively stretch the sample across the keyboard and change pitch by changing the rate of read-through of the sample, so that you get long, stretched out notes in the bass and extremely compressed and short sounds in the treble. Additionally, there are no loop points available, so the sample goes to silence after read-through.
I didn't know if it is possible for a user to import multi-samples (including loop points) so that naive transposition and destruction of transients can be avoided and so a sustained sound can be created.
Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but if it has, I haven't been able to find it. This would substantially increase the usefulness of these synths to me if this is (or could be made) possible.

Wow no responses. I'm curious about this also particularly in Biotek. I'd like to be able to load a few samples at once and morph between them using the x-y feature. Also curious about what the optimum sample length should be so as not to bog down the synth. In Biotek I think you you just drag the sample to an Osc and it drops in. Haven't tried it yet as I was trying to get a little more info first. OP did you have any luck with this??

they never added proper pcm implementation to sample oscillator in all these 10+ yrs for some irrational reason...much like omnisphere...it loads multisampled soundfonts but has no sample markers, looping, or timestretch...they were ahead in the supersynth/workstation game in many ways,...yet dropped the ball in so many others...go figure
Music had a one night stand with sound design.....And the condom broke
