Nice one. That plucky melody/lead section was a fine addition.
The Universal idea must include something with a fish and the number 42
Have a good one

enroe,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: the occasional delay on the vocals is nice. The vocals sound good. I am pretty sure you use pitch correction on the vocals (so do I usually); it's good the pitch correction sounds more transparent than some of your older songs, especially with this type of guitar sound. A different kind of guitar(s) sound for you, in my opinion: Quite Nice for something different. I think the song sounds quite good, and nothing to really gripe about. Nice melodies and recording!

Strong rhythm, gets your head bobbing yet allows you to focus on the lyrics. Love the bridge, also really nice use of delay on the vocal where it becomes more prominent and longer at times.

Aaah, thank you sbj!
Yes, exactly, I really like the idea of "42", it fits well.

This song is a little less "in your face" than some of your others. It's got a relatively laid-back vibe, although there are a lot of dynamics present in terms of builds between the the verses and chorus, and also within each verse.
Is that Tanya on backing vocals in the choruses? They work nicely and add a great contrast.
If there is a "Universal Idea", you can bet on it having been patented by a large multinational company, and locked away in a very safe place.
Good work

Yes, recording the vocals well and editing them so that they really come out on top is a challenge. I notice here: the more we pay attention to good sound when recording in front of the microphone and offer a really good performance - in other words, singing the vocals in a harmonious way - the easier it is to bring the voice out on top afterwards. Even without Melodyne or Autotune.
Thank you!
