Adjusting/moving multiple automation points

My method to copy a section was to insert a clip the length of the desired region, turn on automation lock, then copy the clip. Would love to see dedicated automation clips introduced, especially if you could link them.

Thanks for the input. However, I don't think I was clear. I'm mostly looking for a way to move a group of automation points vertically. So say I have some volume automation and I'd like to raise the level for a few sections. In Reaper I could just lasso select the points and move them however I want. That doesn't work in Waveform.

Ok, not something I've ever used, but there's something there. Click the first automation point you want then shift click the last. This should select everything in between. Then if the bottom control panel is open you will see the options to displace or scale curve. Play with those. If the bottom control panel is not open there will still be a box containing Edit > Track > Plugin > Parameter > Point. Click on parameter and the displace/scale option will float
Edit: selecting the automation points and using your shortcut for 'Show Actions Menu' will also bring up those options
Edit: I just discovered the other options in there as well thanks to this post. The create pattern and ramp from start/end is pretty useful. Nice

Thanks, dysjoint! "Scale Curve" does the trick. Maybe a bit of a misnomer though. I did see that in the menu earlier but assumed it was for curvature of the envelope.

Damn, that's disappointing. I only played around enough to find the feature and it worked ok, apart from the simplify curve option which seems useless (but safe). Were you adjusting it while Waveform was playing? I'll have to experiment some more.
I used to treat new or unknown Tracktion features like an abandoned suitcase in an airport, so I know the feeling. If I can find a repeatable way to break this I'll post it.

Nope. In the past, I suggested automation clips: independent of MIDi or audio clips that you could save as presets and overlay on other clips. Imagine pitch bends or modulation, fade downs, etc., that could stay or move independently of other clips. You could apply identical fade to multiple tracks, stretch or squash pich bends by changing the length of the clip--speeding up or slowing down the automation--not just for easy reuse but consistency. They could be merged with MIDI or audio clips to lock them in if you wished.
Of course, you could change the control value with a mouse click: this clip is a fade down (tied to output level) but change its assignment to panning, and it's a shift to the right channel or whatever.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
