Hey,
I am searching for a way to use a stereo Compressor as a 5.1 surround compressor and saw that I could do that inside Patchwork, if I put one compressor plugin as an individual instance on all 6 channels.
Is there a way like the Q-Link feature of Cubase, where you can link all parameters of every instance of the same plugin on different channels? For example you can add an EQ Plugin in Cubase on Track 1-6. After Q-Link you only need to tweak the plugin on one channel and every parameter on the other channels will also move.
So my plan is to just tweak one instance of my 6 compressors in blue cat patchwork on the surround channel and it behaves like one surround compressor.
I would like to open the GUI of the plugin and tweak it like normal and my settings will automatically apply to the plugins on the other channels.
Is that possible and hopefully fast and easy, like the q-link function in Cubase? If not that easy, which workarounds exist?
Patchwork: Link VST Parameters?

Yes; it should be fairly easy using PatchWork's macro controls. You can map the parameters of all your instances to the same macro parameters, and touching one instance, all others should follow.

Ah, thank you! I wasn’t sure if only the macros control the knobs on the plugin or if the plugins will also control the macros. Will definitely test the trial version of this plugin.
Is there also a way to map all VST parameters to the macros automatically or do I have to do that manually?

Yes, it should work both ways with most plug-ins (as long as they implement automation properly).
For the first instance you can easily map all parameters at once by clicking on the plug-in and selecting "Map All parameters", but for the others you will have to do it manually to assign them to the same macros.
