play cursor position

If I press play and click anywhere on the timeline, the cursor doesnt move to this new location without an annoying pause, even with an empty project. Using Reaper, Cakewalk or Waveform it is instant. Any ideas why this should be, cant remember if it was always like this or not.

That's the Live Sync feature which keeps the music in sync while stepping to other sections on the time line. If you don't want that press the Composer options button -> Live Sync and set it to Instant.
