Of course this will be machine-dependent, but I’m wondering if anyone has a rough idea of how many connector instances you could use with minimal noticeable latency. Like is there anything about its architecture that chokes up as you add instances?
I am thinking of ~100 connectors between two DAWs on same machine, each connector running 16 channels of MIDI.
Practical limit on connector instances?

Sorry for the delay. As you mention it, it's difficult to say. On a local machine I don't think you will hit the networking limits easily, especially with MIDI (you can choose to disable audio, so that frees quite a bit of bandwidth - MIDI is nothing in terms of data size).
Also, please note that latency should not vary depending on the number of instances used (unless if you hit the limits of your CPU).
