Help with Effects.

Okay. To start off with, I’m new to waveform, so please bear with my beginner questions.

My plugins I have:
Native Instruments
Surge
Valhalla super massive

My first question is how do I make effects work, I add them to the track to the left next to my drum plugin, open an effect for example, but nothing happens.
There is no effect sound either.
The phaser effect, how do I apply it to the clip?

The signal flow in Waveform is from left to right, so effects go after the instrument (i.e. to the right). Usually, you will want to put them between the instrument and the mixer/volume control.

If you put an effect before the instrument it will be block the midi reaching the instrument.
