Using Tracktion Instruments only

I was wondering if using the instruments/effects that come with Waveform perform more stable than if one uses third party. I use Reaper but am looking for a second daw to use for a change up sometimes, and aiming at primarily using native instruments (no pun intended) that come with the daw. Make it a great day.

They certainly do, though BioTek 2 can be a bit of a resource hog on my Win 10 machine. Collective, Theia, Attracktive and RetroMod work very well. I have never had any issues with any of the effects. The Master EQ is my go to for mastering.

Thanks that's good to hear. There's a lot of interesting synths in Waveform that make it nice to use without bringing in third party, and most likely new ones will be added- not too many daws are like that on the market. I'll have to continue looking at Waveform.SMSomething wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 5:20 pm They certainly do, though BioTek 2 can be a bit of a resource hog on my Win 10 machine. And absolutely grab Zyklop by Dawsome over at the Tracktion website, that's if you already haven't yet. It's free, it's a fantastic beast of sound maker...and soooo much fun to use. I'm nothing approaching a sound designer but am able to come up with some wonderful presets with the internal and some of my own samples. I'm eyeballing Myth right now and will likely grab it this weekend, wifey allowing.twal wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:19 pmThanks that's good to hear. Yeah it looks fantastic! I've downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. Might get Myth with the Waveform Pro Everything Bundle, but may start with just the Waveform Free -- even though I wanted to try using just the Pro instruments at first -- with Midi Producer Feature Expansion as the Chord Track is one of the features that looks really interesting to me.
