As I see it right now, the modules are pretty high level .
When for example I want to my create own delay line I can't do that
There is the modular delay line but there we only have the option to include the provided filters in the feedback loop.
There is the pure delay module , but no possibility to route the audio back to it's input and thus establish a feedback loop .
Also feeedback fm with the pure delay in the loop isn't possible

Bit of a bummer , seems like it's not suited to go low level

So how would one achieve phase modulation operator feedback ?
I think it's a bit sad , this means we are no able to construct our own delay lines etc ..

Have you tried https://plugdata.org/ ? (I haven't but I was a fan of pd years and years ago.)

Feedback loops would indeed be awesome. I used to do that all the time in a software called audiomulch.
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Yes , I use it extensively , and reaktorpljones wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 6:39 pm Have you tried https://plugdata.org/ ? (I haven't but I was a fan of pd years and years ago.)
Pure data can even do a 1 unit sample feedback loop , but only in subpatchers and block~ set to 1
Here's how feedback fm (phase modulation yamaha style ) is done in plugdata .
It's sad that mulab won't allow that

Yeah, having a send/receive module pair would be nice, where there was no blocking of feedback. (I'd be happy if it had to be contained inside a single unit of "something" - i.e. you'd need multiple instances to get any "poly-somethingness" out of it.)
