Hi,
I wonder in which DAW do you typically use U-he Plugins on Linux (native, not via Wine)?

I just loaded Zebra2 and ColourCopy in qtractor 9.4x daw, and things work fine. Back in the early days of the U-he ports, the qtractor/qjackctl/qpwgraph/Vee One Suite dev (Rui Capela) figured out the mystery of Zebra's multi-plugin vst releases. Those were exciting times, and having the entire U-he catalog available in linux will always be amazing.

I use Reaper almost all the time. I test other things from time to time, so I can have a somewhat informed opinion. I have a Mixbus license, and Bitwig 8-Track, but haven't used them in a song for years. I did discover some cool Zebra2 sounds and a linux plugin setting while testing qtractor, and recreated it in Reaper for another day

I have Reaper, Bitwig and Renoise. What I use most at the moment is Renoise and SunVox, followed by Reaper. Bitwig has so many options and possibilities that it bores me a bit.

Another dedicated REAPER user here.
I've played around a bit with Bitwig's trial, but for some reason it always performs very badly on my PC, even though I have a decently fast CPU now... (Plus I just find a lot of REAPER's features better for my own workflow.)

Artist name Ben Enkindle. I (try to) make electronic music with Linux software.

* Reaper - My main DAW
* Ardour/Mixbus - I constantly test this one and compare it against Reaper
* Qtractor - I occasionally test this one to see where it stands against Reaper and Ardour.
* Zrythm - This one "SHOULD" be an option in the poll. I have plans to test this one and see how it compares--it looks really good!

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I'm using the Ableton Live/Mac as my main DAW but have been messing around with Bitwig on Linux/CachyOS. If Live ever becomes available on Linux, I might make the jump. I'm not particularly ready to deal with running it on WINE and it has stuff that I've become too reliant on to jump ship to another DAW.
