On/Off filter?

Has anyone made a simple stereo on/off switch? I could do with it in a rack.

maybe you could get the effect you're looking for by adding an extra volume/pan filter to the track.. and automate the volume of that filter so thats it's always either full, or zero (not ideal though).

Thanks, but the reason I could do with it is that I have a sampler in the rack for drums and I want to mute a part without messing with the volume.

you're missing point here I think.
If yopu have two level filters in series, then you can use the first one as a switch and the second as an actual level.
As long as you automate the switch level between -inf and 0db, you have exactly what you are asking for.
A similar trick can be used to create level fades without needing to know the final mix level ahead of time.
