Im running two parallel channels, with echoboy on one with a compressor after it, im trying to internally sidechain the incoming signal (not the echoboy parallel signal) to the KHS compressor to duck the delay when im playing. This is super easy to setup in Waves Studioverse for example, but outside of the way i set it up in the photo below, i can't find a more "direct" way. Im using the bypassed Gain plugin in the pre slot to send an incoming signal through output 3/4 to the compressor 3+4 input. This works exactly how i want, but im curious if there is a way to do it without the bypassed plugin in the first slot? I tried all types of Audio I/O routing with no success.

Any info is appreciated.

Hi,

That's indeed the way to go. You can however use any built-in plug-in instead (the built-in gain or any other , that will not have any impact on CPU so you do not need to bypass it). You can also use the built-in EQ plug-in if you want to alter the side chain signal (very useful to trigger compression on only parts of the signal)
