I've got live recordings and use groove doctor to map the tempo. I use the kick track and remap tracks on tempo change is set to off. I adjust all the tempo markers manually to ensure only the 1st beat has a marker. At the start of the song I add additional markers to get 1st bars for the intro as well (that don't have Kick transients). However the tempo map that is then created after apply seems not to map all the markers to the first beat; instead between Bar 1 and Bar 3 I had 3 markers and some are mapped to the 3rd beat (4/4). Thus 2 tempo markers within the same Bar. I thus get a tempo that dips down to half speed for the first 2 bars and then jumps up to the correct tempo for the rest of the song.
If I now change the tempo at the 1st bar 3rd beat tempo marker and set it to be the same as the song; then all following tempo markers are moved and thus come out of sync.
Retrying with Groove Doctor does not help and gives the same error.
a) How can I now correct the Bar numbering for the first 2 bars only?
b) How can this be prevented in the first place?
c) Feature request 1: Since the Tempo is "roughly" the same, is it possible to add a feature in Groove Doctor such that only the transients at the predicted 1st beat are used (especially when there are multiple kicks within the same bar which transients now all have to be manually removed); and for bars where there is silence that there is a predicted beat marker inserted in the same tempo as before/after? Maybe give a (error)range of BPM's within which the transients are included and others are skipped.
d) Feature request 2: Allow to add beat markers in the tempo bar such that the tempo between these two points can be recalculated to be 1, 2, 4, 8 ... bars. (e.g. select a range and for that range force a number of bars; or count the total number of bars in the track and mark the 1st and last and then in between the markers the tempo/bar sizing is adjusted to the number of bars entered.
