A couple of issues with Patchwork 2.71 in Logic Pro 11.1.2

First, Patchwork is a Good Thing - I like using it as an organizational tool for plugin chains, and it lets me use MIDI automation on plugins that don't support it in Logic (I'm looking at you, Waves).

But I've run into a couple of interface issues, and I'm wondering if there are workarounds, or if I'm missing something.

First, when a Patchwork window is open, it seems to swallow all keystrokes, so I can't control Logic from the keyboard. That's inconvenient, especially when I have lots of windows open within Patchwork - I have to keep the Logic control bar uncovered so I can click on it.

Second, the windows for plugins within Patchwork will often disappear (for example, when I click on the Logic control bar). They're still there as Logic windows, and ⌘-` shows them, one at a time, but again it's an inconvenience.

But there's also an issue with bypassing/enabling plugins using the "power" (⏻) buttons in Patchwork. I just tested this with a couple of Waves plugins (EV2 and Silk Vocal). I start with the plugin enabled (not bypassed), and I'm clicking on the power button on the plugin in Patchwork:
  • First click - plugin is now bypassed but Patchwork still shows it as enabled
  • Second click - plugin stays bypassed and now Patchwork shows it as bypassed
  • Third click - plugin is now enabled again, but Patchwork shows it as bypassed
  • Fourth click - plugin is enabled, and Patchwork shows it as enabled
This means I can't rely on the plugin appearance in Patchwork to know if a plugin is active or not.

Am I missing something, or do I have it set up wrongly?
