Cherry Audio CR78 loop issue

Mulab 9: When the CR78 is set to play its own loop and is synced to host and I press play in Mulab, the first beat of the loop, at the start of each loop, appears to be a double triggered event so the bassdrum, for instance, always sounds thin and has a pronounced click rather than a boom (probably phase cancellation). Is this just me, or a problem with the VSTi. If anyone else has this vst do they get the same thing happening. Thanks in advance. Steve.

Just a guess but is getting a note that triggers it, a quick look at the guide says the bass drum default midi note number is 36 (C2) so if it is recieving a C and the first drum of the internal pattern is a bass drum then that could account for the extra hit, just a thought.

Good point, but I haven't even created a pattern for the CR78 so there is no note being sent to it, not that i know of anyway. I use D16's Nephaton in the same way and there's no double trigger happening with this vst. Maybe it's a fault in the code written by Cherry Audio. But I would have thought this would have been corrected by now. Im going to try the CR78 with Mulab10 later today.

This is still happening in M10 I'm afraid. Maybe it's CA's own code causing it.

Ive just installed the demo to see if its the same here and it seems to work correctly but the vst3 version has a slightly different gui, probably nothing to do with your problem but weird all the same, unless its a newer/older version number.
There are also 2 multi out versions installed aswell so thats 4 altogether.
Have you tried them all ?
Edit:
In the modular view when using the multi out vst2 version there is a difference when using the stereo out peg versus the bass drum peg, is that what you are hearing ?
I chose a simple pattern so that I could mute the snare and hi hat and just have the bass drum playing.
Re-edit
just realised the overdrive effect was causing the difference, so, it seems to work as expected here

That CR-78 sure looks cool.
I wish Cherry Audio didn't have all that sign-in stuff.
I'll bet somebody could make a CR-78'ish in MuLab.
I've noticed that MuLab makes "Rumba box" sounds very easily.

The latest update to the CR78 plugin, which I downloaded today, has solved the issue.

Very good.
The closest thing I could find, other then Cherry,
that isn't sampled, like the wonderfool Forgotten Keys stuff,
is Superwave Tiny Pops.
It makes a nice sound.
All the Superwave stuff sounds pretty nice.

Have you seen the Full Bucket stuff, there is a Korg Minipops simulation as well as other goodies,

FullBucket is great.
I've got a section in my active VST's for his stuff.
The generated sounds on the FB MiniPop aren't as clean as the Superwave though.
As far as just for drum sounds.
I've been fishing around for the drum sounds off of a Rhumba box.
They're probably sound closer to the real thing.
But its got a great little vintage style sequencer.
I dont think superwave has a sequencer at all.
I would use the FB MiniPop as a backing track.
With higher fidelity drums on top of it.
The same way the original accompaniment/metronome boxes where intended.
Like Sly Stone.
