BFD midi track works fine....sometimes

I was hoping someone could explain a strange BFD situation. I have avoided using BFD in Tracktion since I got it because when I use T to trigger a groove assigned to a midi not, they only trigger when THEY feel like it.

I forgot about that and loaded up a midi file triggering BFD in T and same problem. . I thought I would explore the problem so I double clicked on the midi file to open it up to editing. What do you know? It works fine. So that is how I am running BFD at present. I just resize the track when I need to edit but aprt from that it is always open for midi editing and working like a beauty.

I shouldn't question this gift from the God of Computer Music but I can't help but wonder....why??
