Rendering with ACID Tempo/Note Info

I think this might be a bug but even if it's not then I can use this as a reminder for the next time I'm trying to make loops and get frustrated.

When rendering an audio clip with ACID tempo/note info I have to make sure that I have set the root note or it does something odd. The resulting WAV file will have a root note but no tempo data. Also, the clip's Loop Properties will be altered to include a root note but turn off Auto-Tempo.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Fun update: it also does this for audio loops rendered from MIDI clips, but since there is no way to set the note info of a MIDI clip (that I know of) it seems to be impossible to render an audio loop that has tempo data. The note is there in the metadata, which is almost funny. I can create a drum loop in C with no beats or tempo.

Does anyone know of any decent metadata utilities that can read/edit/write ACID data? All the software I know of that can edit metadata ignores ACID metadata and the software that pays attention to ACID metadata is very hands-off.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

If I recall correctly there was a small utility program that allowed to edit just the tempo and key of a wav file. It was a long long time ago when ACID pro DAW was hot in the market. I will have to check my archive if I still have it.

You have mentioned u have tried a lot, would u mind listing those. It would be helpful for others looking for same thing like me.

Based on the available information on the web, there are no utilities that edit only acid metadata, and all sonic foundry metadata specifications remain closed to this day, otherwise we would be guaranteed to use the inherently simple metadata editor utilities without rendering. For correct display/editing, you will need to use sonic foundry products, or rather its successor magix, and acid or sound forge trial versions, to ensure absolutely accurate compliance with the metadata structure.
They also recommend trying Cakewalk by BandLab, which is rumored to inherit the entire acid metadata structure for sure, and is free, but I personally feel (after waveform) that its interface was designed specifically so that it would be as painful as possible for you to use this program. :!:
