been improved?
Hopefully Tracktion now uses cool edit/audition style editing instead of the cumbersome, time wasting "clip" system?
I see that wavelab 3.0 can be had for 99$, and coupled with Tracktion this would be a sweet combo. Real sweet. But if the editing in Tracktion is still clippy, im not sure I want in.

Anyways, to answer your question, Tracktion's audio editing is the same.
I use AdobeAudition to do destructive editing within Tracktion and the combo is very nice. Tracktion's non-destructive editing is a plus for me not a negative thing.

Indeed. I don't do that much editing, so I don't think I've had the opportunity to have my time wasted, but I do my destructive editing in Audacity.
Repeat after me: "Tracktion". OK. "is not" Good... you're with us so far... "an audio" Very nicely done, Billy! "editor."
Now I think you've got it.

Yeah, clips are definitely good. If you chop things up a lot then you can always render the track to get one big clip.
Edit: corrected definitely based on the lesson you gave Greg...

I keep coming back? I have very few posts here.
Democrats don't whine, they get laid. Look into it for yourself

there is no other sequencer with better and easier audio-editing than Tracktion's system - Tracktion's object-orientated approach is pure genius - if you don't realize this it's a fault on your side - wanna argue about it?
