Hello,
Is it permitted to use absolutely all of U‑he’s free plugins for commercial purposes—including ZebraCM (which originally came with Computer Music) as downloaded from the U‑he website—for commercial projects or not? For example, to create a soundtrack and then upload it to YouTube or another online platform, correct?
Mentioning the original authors would be purely optional. What about presets: is it allowed to modify the factory presets, alter them, and then present them as your own creations or not?
Are the free presets available on the official U‑he website permitted for commercial use? And what about TyrellN6 Beta 3.0.0 (revision 16976)—is that allowed for commercial purposes as well, since it’s a beta release?
Please provide a detailed, point‑by‑point answer.
Sincerely,
Andrey Yeremeyev.

Have you asked the developers yourselves? What was their response?

Why don't you just read the plugins EULA? I haven't, I admit, but I almost bet all the answers to your questions are ... yes.
This is not DiscoDSP (sorry could not resist); their free plugins are truly free, you can do whatever you want with them, provided you don't resell (them or their default presets

There’s just nothing specific mentioned there.

If there's no express prohibition on it in the EULA, which I wouldn't expect as that wouldn't be a very U-he way of doing things, then I think you're safe to assume you can use the free plugins in commercial music with no hoops to jump through.
I'm not a lawyer, but I can pretty much guarantee you're in the clear and U-he won't be suing you if you strike gold using ZebraCM in a track.

I know of one commercial track using the free triple cheese synth, with a factory preset made by urs as the main lead, also tyrell is used as the bassandrej eremeev wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 11:55 am Have you asked the developers yourselves? What was their response?
