How do I get it all back? I have an important project I'm working on... and everything is just GONE... I pressed "fit all tracks on screen" scolled around a little and everything dissapeared. now when I open my project there is nothing there. The audio plays when I press play, but there are no tracks, pans, volumes, etc. I can't edit any further. What can I do??? HELP!!

Post

by the way, I'm using an aluminum powerbook with the most recent osx and the most recent tracktion

any help at all would be great! I'm up all night with a deadline to finish this track and I can't even edit now! I have loved tracktion, and even recomended it to people... but this might be too much for me. I did't know it was possible to loose a whole edit due to such a simple graphics flaw. It's amazing they sell this with all these flaws (the glitching everyone gets)... and they don't even have fixes for these perpetual problems. However bad Cubase was, it never did anything like this : (

by the way, please help me out of you can!!!!!!

It's a long shot but I guess it won't hurt to try:

Have you tried to make a new copy and open it? Or exprot it then import it to a new project?

How about posting the archive here and let other users to try to re-save it for you?

Either way, be sure to send the edit to Jules. Hopefully it will work out for you in time.

BTW, just for the record, I've never experienced this. (using PC version here)

Open the edit in a text editor and change the "tracktop" value back to zero.

It's a maths error that very very occasionally happens, Jules posted about it a week or so ago.

I would just try re-installing Tracktion again. You're getting sound so the edit still works. Reinstalling it should reset all the graphics stuff right.

Good luck by the way.

Maybe there are too many tracks to fit and Tracktion minimized them to nothing.

Try using Ctrl plus mouse wheel to zoom out.

Guys, i've already posted the fix Jules suggests for this problem. More details in this thread

Reinstalling won't fix it, because it's not a problem in Tracktion, it's a problem in the edit. The first track's y co'ordinate is set to a value that doesn't display on screen.

Try F13.

Try F1. After that doesn't work, open the edit file in a text editor and change the tracktop value back to 0.
