Are you suppose to set MAutoVolume to -16 input because it has a pivot point of -16?

Ive seen several comments and posts from the past saying that MAutovolume's pivor point is -16 so for it to compress better(downwards and upwards)to a middle point you would set your input to -16. Is this true?
