Good to know, it works on PUSH 3 hardware as well standalone.

I'm interested to try the Slice integration as it integrates with Lives' find by sound' function- that's a powerful combination!

Also, you can now connect a class-compliant audio interface to push 3. Huge!

I know- I have a zoom L6 to try, could be perfect! There are a lot of nice updates for PUSH 3 like the XYZ Pad, amazing!

The stuff they have added since the relase of 12 is crazy.
"Group Bounce" and "Paste Bounced Audio" alone is awesome!

I like the non-highlight updates but... splice tacked onto live?

Post

Ableton is really on a tear with 12.x. The updates just keep on coming and so far they haven’t had to resort to yearly update fees to do it.

yeah, not too keen on splice built in, but the rest is awesome.

Its a section under 'Places' in the Browser so hopefully, as easy enough to hide and never see again as 'Cloud' and 'Push' are.
Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

You can hide it the same way

Ah, ability to render groups to wav is great, and then just mark area and render when pasteing. Nice!

can someone explain paste bounced audio? you could copy and paste bounced audio before? What's different about this? they don't have it in their videos or anything.

Example:
In Arrangement View
Track 1: midi track with Operator, track is 8 bars long
Copy any portion of the 8 bar track (CMD C/Ctrl C)

Now on an Audio track, press CMD+Opt+V or Ctrl+Alt+V and it will paste the audio.

So what’s different is that you’re not limited to copy/pasting midi onto a midi track, or audio onto an audio track, and you’re not forced to bounce a midi track before taking a small portion of the track to then copy/paste to a new track.

It’s just a workflow improvement, cutting a couple steps out of the picture.
