My two computers I've been using for years on Win10 with zero issues are not compatible with Win11 (Thank you Tracktion for efficient code).
I'm in the market to buy a mini PC. I do not game, nor watch movies with my PC, and nearly every mini PC review talks about frame rates and whatever for gaming and 4k video (or higher) playback/streaming. I don't need that, but will buy something good with gaming, if it makes my Waveform experience nice and trouble-free.
I'm excited for the promise of low noise in these miniPCs, if I can run them at low fan speeds. This is an unplanned expense at the feet of M$, so I'm looking to keep my costs low. The hassle of reinstallation of every thing is giving me a headache just thinking about it - but I'm taking it as an opportunity to streamline my insanely long list of plugins I never use!
Any recommendations on lower end processors? Intel N150 sufficient? Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide
mini pc compatibility - what processor and RAM for smooth Waveform use?

I could have sworn I replied to this on Wednesday evening.
I have two mini PCs. Both cost under £170. One is an N97 with 12GB of DDR5 RAM. The other is N100 with 16GB of DDR4 RAM.
I haven't used either for music yet and may not (I bought a refurbed laptop with 32GB of RAM, but after almost a decade of using my current laptop the thought of transferring everything over to it remains very daunting). My main testing was to see how they fared with lots of browser tabs open. Both have done okay so far and both are very quiet. I don't even know if either has a fan.
I would have though your Windows 10 PCs should still be usable for music long into the future if you can keep them offline for all or almost all of the time. Windows 10 isn't going to stop working, but might become more vulnerable to malware. If you use them only for music making it should be easier to keep them offline.

There are only a few mini PCs that are quiet. Beelink are probably the best - that's what I went with. But do bear in mind that getting a less poweful machine will mean it is more likely to need to have the fan at max.
