Every MIDI clip I record gets assigned a &*^%$ Groove Template by some strange reason. I never set up anything like that ever.
Demons obviously. Help me exorcise them.

I assume a Global Groove is set in your default template. It's a feature since 12.1 I think. Check the Groove Pool.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 5:31 am Every MIDI clip I record gets assigned a &*^%$ Groove Template by some strange reason. I never set up anything like that ever.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

That's it. Thanks. Cool feature, but why did Ableton have to set it to the new default is beyond me.noiseresearch wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 5:44 amI assume a Global Groove is set in your default template. Glad you got rid off your demons. There is a parameter for the Global Amount of Groove for the Clips. If you don't want the Groove quantisation at work, simply put Global Amount to zero percent. You still can quickly adjust some swing.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 6:18 amThat's it. Thanks.
