Hi,
you can already right click a knob to assign a MIDI controller.
Being able to to create an automation track or item that right clicked parameter would seem to be a good improvement for workflow?
If I record and move a knob the parameter is available in the lower part of a sequence item. The problem is that editing is not great. All the nice curves are not available and there seems no way to convert it to and automation item.
Adding a new automation track seems to allow only selecting the parameter from an often huge nested list. If a list of recently adjusted parameters were included it would help to speed things up.
Thanks.

1) Adding a context menu for adding an automation track does not seem the right choice to me as it's easily done using drag-dropping the parameter name on the + Track button, which is more intuitive and avoids context menu bloat.cousin_itt wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 11:45 am Hi,

2) It is possible to convert recorded parameter automation inside the sequence editor to a separate and more flexible automation clip:
* Go into the sequence editor
* In the curve section at the bottom select the relevant parameter
* Right-click the left-side header and choose Convert To Envelope Clip
It's on the wishlist to (optionally) do this conversion automatically so that recording a parameter creates an automation clip.

I didn't know this, and very good it is, especially for MuLab native parameters.it's easily done using drag-dropping the parameter name on the + track button
For a plugin, clicking the top left of its window toggles the plugin header which shows the last changed parameter. This can then be draggeded and dropped to create an automation track.
Much appreciated.

This works well, thanks.2) It is possible to convert recorded parameter automation inside the sequence editor to a separate and more flexible automation clip:
I'd like to point out that it only works in the Timeline and not in the Live Matrix, despite the ability to carry out the process there.
The option to automatically create and automation clip seems good to me.

the problem here is what you need to do to record a (MIDI) parameter that's not on the screen
i can confirm you can record a (external) MIDI stream and then you'll end up with an automation track
-but the process seems a little convoluted
