Ubuntu Linux Waveform 13.5.19 Installing Collective and Collective 2

Hey all,
Quick question, I'm trying to install both Collective and Collective 2 on Ubuntu 25.10
If i follow the read me instructions in the folder after i unzip it it say to put the Collective.so in the .vst folder, OK no problem, but then when i unzip Collective 2 the .so file is named Collective.so just like the original Collective file?
So if i put it in the same folder as the Collective.so it wants me to overwrite the original Collective.so file or cancel the copy.
Both Collective and Collective 2 have the same name for the .so file.
So how are you supposed to install both Collectives if i want both versions?
I tried renaming the Collective 2 .so file but it did something weird with the sound library, it couldn't find it or something weird like that.

I wouldn't expect that the developers considered Collective v1 still being installed when Collective v2 is available. You therefore might run into issues which no developer has considered and taken care of. Quite the opposite. They might have cared a lot that Collective v2 updates any configuration files found from Collective v1, so that the user should find in Collective v2 settings which the user already made in Collective v1. Better treat it like one Collective, which on user request receives an update. I neither wouldn't expect that they considered a downgrade path from v2 back to v1. So, better to have your backups made.

You could try creating a subfolder inside your plugin folder and rename for e.g the version 1 of collective to Collective1.so and placing it in the newly created folder.

EDIT/// Just noticed you tried renaming and that caused problems, still go ahead and create a subfolder and place 1 of the plugins there, it should work although you will have to decipher which is which in the plugin list when loading
