Clip Launcher and Automation

Is there a way to get sequence clips to link with automation in the clip launcher so if I trigger a sequencer clip it will trigger the automation as well and the automation can loop more than once?

The first thing i would think of is to put these clips in a separate scene and then launch the scene on top of what's playing. But after a quick practical check i don't see a way to start a scene on top of what's already playing in the clip launcher without cutting already playing scenes. So that would be a nice enhancement. Taken note.

I think it would be cool to be able to link clips if that would be possible. Eg just link the automation and midi clip and they can launch at the same time.
