I might've been temporarily demented, but is there really no way to have the mixer show peak level (or numbers in general), instead of only having the graphic VU meter (the green bar)? I tried MuLab last night, and couldn't find such option anywhere in the menus.
Google didn't really provide quick fix, so I decided to just let it go and uninstall. Fast-forward 24 hours, looking at how the software is actively being developed even during the holidays, I decided it would be fair to share my experience.
MuLab - Peak/RMS levels in the mixer?

Thx for sharing your experience.
The mixer strip does show the peak level as a horizontal line, cfr this screenshot:

It indeed does not (yet) show it as a number.
This has not been requested yet, iirc.
It would make the rack desk look more complex, bloated, so IF in a future version such option would be added, it will be off by default. MuLab tries the keep the UI as minimal as possible.

Thanks for a reply. I might be just too conditioned to Reaper's mixer. I don't really look at individual track meters at all, just glance at peak numbers. I still use MLoudnessAnalyzer on the master for evaluating dynamics, but it really doesn't cut it alone for me. Other than that, I kinda enjoyed the minimalistic design (that's the reason I wanted to try MuLab in the first placeMuTools wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 9:06 pmIt indeed does not (yet) show it as a number.

I know what you mean -- I use both. Reaper has ... an impression of precision driven by displaying numbers whilst MuLab allows artistry to drive your use of the controls. Sometimes I do want that precision, though (I use MuLab Plugin more than the App).

Yeah. In fact, I've been looking for something with less technical distractions, because the obsession towards irrelevant details is the no. 1 problem I have. Not having the dB numbers is somehow just "too much" however.pljones wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 5:41 pmI know what you mean -- I use both. It's also about practicality. Here's a picture of how my mixer looks in Reaper.

Ignoring some buggy plugin causing one of the busses to clip during the screenshot process, it normally takes one glance to see all the peak values, as they are in a straight line.
