That would be amazing.

I’m unfortunately not able to help any time soon, but I am looking forward to the end result and hope someone has something to share.

A Resolve:Live/Live:Resolve workflow would be amazing (but I’m also behind on getting familiar with Fairlight).

Edit: also is there no way to adjust the volume level in the clip detail window, instead of writing volume automation? Volume automation like this can get messy in Live especially whence balancing tracks out/mixing.

I always use Utility for any volume automation to keep the track fader free, but in this case it’s not really automation, but the clip level and there is a clip level per clip in the detail window.

Thanks for the interest!

Great to hear you're excited about this! Resolve to live is definitely on the roadmap.
I actually just got Sequoia and Premiere Pro AAF imports working perfectly - clips, timing, fades, and volume automation all transfer correctly to Ableton Live 10 ( Specifically so it can works on Live 10+ ).
Resolve support is next! Since Resolve is free, I can generate my own test AAFs. But if anyone has real-world Resolve projects exported as AAF, that would really help me ensure it works with complex timelines.

Edit :
About the automations: it will have an option to choose where volume automation goes:

Track Volume Fader (now is the default) - as it comes from the source
Or Utility - keeps the fader free

Will share updates as I make progress ...

Hey xterminatorapps, to be clear, what I’m referring to is the Clip Gain, that’s in the Clip Detail.

Clip Gain is independent from track/fader level automation. This would more accurately follow clip levels as shown the video editor.

What I’m saying is that writing automation for this, instead of adjusting in Clip Detail, is going to be problematic.

Ah, I understand now!
That's actually a much cleaner approach and makes more sense:
Good news , it is definitely doable.
I'll think about it.
Thanks for clarifying!

Bump .

I'm not sure how to give you the files.

I can give you Pro Tools AAF files.

Personally I'd be more interested in the other way around. AAF from Ableton to Pro Tools.
