Hi, I recently got DrumComputer on iPad, and am trying to get it working with Logic Pro 3 on iPad. I’ve figured out how to route audio from the plugin to an audio channel, but I can’t figure out how to get midi out of the DrumComputer plugin. So here are my questions:

1) Is it possible to output midi data from the DrumComputer plugin directly to a midi region or track in Logic Pro 3 for iPad in real time as it plays?
2) Is it possible to capture performance data like automation of pads being manually triggered or volumes of channels being changed?
3) if yes to 1 or 2, are there any guides on how to do this?

Thanks!

Hi celemourn,

unfortunately, in Logic only MIDI FX supports direct output of MIDI from plugins but there will be no option to record the MIDI out to a track. Since this is a restriction of Logic there unfortunately in nothing we can do about it from our side. By choosing DrumComputer as an MIDI FX-Instrument from the MIDI FX dialogue of a Software Instrument track in Logic you can at least directly trigger your target instrument and bounce the result to audio the same way you would do with any other AuV3 instrument in Logic.

Best,
Nadine
