I thought I'd share a problem I had and the fix that made Knagalis work on my laptop.
After purchasing the plugin, I downloaded the 21Mb file and installed Knagalis. No problem. But when I first opened the DLL with MiniHost to register, I got the message "this is not a valid VST plugin".
Weird as my other Dash products like EVE work fine.
Then, I found that if I removed the data folder from the directory where I installed Knagalis, I could open the plugin and register it. However, putting the data folder back in the same directory as the DLL and the error message would come up again. Same result with energyXT.
Anyway, to cut a long story short and after many emails with Luigi trying to fix the problem, I tried a manip and it worked.
Basically, I removed the data folder and launched Knagalis. It opened fine and complained that the data was not there. Then, with Knagalis still opened, I moved the data folder back where the DLL is installed. I closed energyXT, got an error message to do with memory. However, when I reopened Knagalis with energyXT, this time it worked fine and I could play with the various banks.
So if somebody has a problem after installing Knagalis, try this manip as it may make it work. As to why that was, beats me...
Thank God I managed to find a fix as that plugin is great !
Thanks Luigi.
