separate midi tracks with stylus rmx

Hi. Im a noob with software sequencers by all means but I recently got tracktion and stylus rmx. I have my grooves going in stylus so I drag and drop my hihat midi file and that plays fine in track 1 but when i drag the shaker(or what have you) file in track 2 there is nothing playing since stylus rmx is only opened in the first track. Does this mean I must open an instance of stylus for each separate track?

Nope. You can route any track to any other track. Just select the track by clicking on its name on the left side of the screen (the track will then be highlighted in red), then from the "destination output" in the track properties choose the track that has RMX on it. Now the midi will be routed to that track.
