Quicktime instruments how to?

Im on Mac OS 10.3.6 and a motu fastlane and was wondering how to get the quicktime instruments running through tracktion.
I can get a GM list but no sound.
Do I have to set something up in core midi?

I have other more sophisticated soft synth vsts running fine but sometimes I would like to quickly run somethin off with the quicktime instruments.
I know they exist cus I've accessed them with Ipiano.
But how do they get into Tracktion?

I believe you'll need a soundfont player. I don't know if there is a free one available for Macs or not, but you can check out the bs-16. Though I'm not sure it's worth the price.

how does it find the quicktime inst.s?

I searched my hardrve and could'nt find any soundfonts...?

I'm not sure, but I'd recommend using something other than the QT instruments anyway, try here.

You want to use a GM set probably, which gives you all the instrument types of the QT instruments.
