Voxengo graphics incompatabilities

I'm currently evaluating Voxengo's GlissEQ plug with Tracktion and noticing that whenever the GUI is open on it I get lots of popping and crackling. Anybody else have this with that particular plug.

I also just noticed that the play cursor in the background gets really jerky when that GUI is open.

Maybe an incompatability with my graphics driver?

Increasing latency makes it somewhat better, but doesn't fix it.

That's a good idea. I'll give that a try when I get home. I tried ASIO direct on/off without success, but I don't even remember seeing real time priority.
Thanks!

This is very likely to be your graphics card's fault. A lot of graphics cards hog the pci bus, which is obviously also needed by the sound card to generate pretty music. I had very bad stutters on my desktop machine with an old graphics card when using a demo of PSP Vintage Warmer (it has a moving graphic of a VU meter). Dropouts even.

Swapped the graphics card for an alternative (not even anything expensive) and suddenly no more problem. Otherwise all the same hardware. Do a search on this forum, or google, for a utility called PCIDawg (i think), and try tweaking with that, alternatively try alternative graphics drivers, or even a loan of a card from a friend, if possible. You might be surprised at the improvement. I don't know the vst you mean, but if it has any real-time graphical changes, and you don't get the problem when you hide it's interface, it's a no-brainer
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"
